Gators stop losing streak, but I'm still not happy...why? Check this out...
As my title states, I'm still not happy. Why? Well....let me count the ways....
1. Coaching
After a bye, the coaching should have improved (in my eyes). I don't think it happened. After the Defense picks off Georgia inside the 30 yard line, the Offense stalls. Defense gives up 30+ points, but this time we win...whewww. Offense left points off the board: Well the 1st and 3rd Quarters were blanks...we should be able to score once in those quarters...right? Our QB coach is a pro-style coach, but our offense isn't...how does he keep letting this happen? It seems Urban has his hand in alot of the coaching decisions, but unless someone steps up (or is given the keys)...he should take over more.
2. Offensive Line
I can't believe this was suppose to be the solid and most experienced part of our team. 4 Seniors were suppose to anchor a line that would take any pressure off John Brantley. Well that's not happening (now we have 2 sophomores playing significant minutes). Linebackers are still coming up the middle untouched and putting John to the ground. One play stands out were a lineman basically did an 'Ole' technique letting the Defensive Lineman through the line so he could tackle the QB....bad...bad...bad. All the snaps looked good, but John seems to still bobble the ball. Probably worried that he is going to get hit again...
3. Offensive Play Calling
Hmmmmm......John Brantley playing WR wasn't what a expected after 2 weeks to prepare for the Georgia game. But's that's what happened (during the first possession, no less). This is Brantley, probably the best Pro prospect the Gators have had in a while and it seems he moves out wide on every other play. Is this suppose to trick the defense? No. Then I thought maybe, they plan to throw a lateral to him and let him zing it down the field...NO. And to top it off, then they put Burton in the back field, then motion Brantley back there to take the snap...What is that? Oh yeah, now we have found out that Brantley and Burton need more help...Jordan Reed seem to have set plays made up. No wonder the players can't seem to get into a rhythm. The Gators are running offense for 3 different QBs all in the same game. No wonder it takes a whole quarter to get started, before we put points on the board. 2 weeks to improve the offense and this is what we got....I'm not impressed.
4. Defensive Line
Aaron Murray must be on the Gator Defensive's Line payroll, because he didn't light us up and much as he could. Since he had not pressure, he had alot of time to over throw alot of players and kill drives. Lucky for us, he forgot A.J. Green was on his team (until the 4th quarter). The defensive ends couldn't contain anyone...so many times Georgia was able to turn the corner and there was no one there....No one.... With Jaye Howard out, we took a step back. Usually a bye week is suppose to get players more opportunity to play, didn't seem like that happened on the D-Line. Although, I did see Floyd out there, his presence wasn't felt, especially on the passing downs.
5. Defensive Play Calling
Blitzing is suppose to put pressure on the QB, but the Gators Blitzing seems to only put pressure on the Gator D-Backs. So many times, the Gator blitzed and never got to the QB. I don't believe delayed blitzes work, so we should probably stop that. Georgia was able to more the ball in the 4th quarter at will: giving up more points in the 4th quarter, than in the prior 3 quarters isn't going to work. Lucky for the Gators, the defense has been able to hold teams in the 1st half of most games.
But I am happy for a few thing....
1. Resilient Players
Luckily of the Gator's Coaching staff, they have such resilient players. The coaches don't seem to be putting the players in enough positions to excel, but the players do what they can. Brantley is saying all the right things, but you have to wonder how he would play somewhere else. I feel he needs a 300+ day to feel like this was good idea to stay behind Tebow for 2 years...
2. Will 'The Thrill' King
Will King finally showed up and displayed what we expected. The hit that sent the GA player to the ground for awhile (to collect thoughts) was nice. Then he almost finishes off the game with a pick-6. Too bad the QB got the way (Gators couldn't lay him out, so he slows down King and GA players run him out of bounce).
Hopefully, we see improvement from this game...(probably should be able to do these things against Vandy...I hope)
This is all I ask for...
1. Score in every Quarter. (maybe 50+ scoring effort)
2. Pressure from the D-Line Only
3. Pick-6
4. TD drives of over 70 yards
5. Special Teams Block Kick/Punt
6. 100 yard rusher who isn't a QB.
Not much...right?

Lane puts foot in mouth.....again....
Think about it? Recruits who thought they might get a chance to play for Championships...will have to wait awhile....sad...sad
And to think...Lane hasn't even put his mark on the program yet....or was this his doing and Football Gods have caught up to him?
The SEC is happy he's gone....when will the PAC-10 say the same?

Griffey took his Bat...Glove and Ball and went Home...for good...
His 600+ homeruns will be past but it would have been nice if it were by someone who didn't cheat...
I remember when he started playing for Seattle...they had a good team then...
He will be missed...at the plate...and roaming center field...

NBA finals finally set...did we get what we want?
Rondo vs Fisher...new vs old...hmmm
Besides Kobe...Celts look good in other match up...
Bench?...Celts have more rebs and points on bench...
Kobe with more rings for me...
Can we have a 4-0 series and Celts win another ring...maybe Jackson leaves...takes Lebron with him and starts string of championships with him...hmmm

NBA: Operation No-$weep...has commenced
Stern to NBA staff: Team...What's happening? The Celtics and Lakers are on the verge of sweeping into The Finals...I don't like it...
Staff Member: Excuse me sir but don't you want LA vs Boston?
Stern: Hell yea...but what I don't want is people thinking only the stacked teams or most popular storylines are what we want....
Staff: So what now?
Stern: Commence "Operation No-$weep"
Staff: What?
Stern: Contact LA and Boston on red phones..I want to give Suns and Magic hope...then squash it..
Staff: (silence)
Stern: What? Do you think this is the MLB Or NHL where teams from Philadelphia have a chance? Not on my watch anymore...Spurs in finals has killed me over the last years...
(Silence)
Stern: Oh yea...next task....Lebron in NY, Miami or Chicago.....How do we make it happen?...By the way did you like the talk of Phil Jackson coming to Chicago....next I want a Knicks link.....ha ha ha
....News at 11...Both Suns and Magic extend their series, at least one more game...

With Brown gone...is Van Gundy gone too?
Rondo's play probably sealed the coach's fate..
And A former Florida Gator helped...Jason Williams probably lost any chance of getting another job after that...
Sad day in O-town.... :(

NBA might get what it wants...maybe...
NBA might be happy with that unless...
1) LA struggles and plays another extra game against Suns...then only get 4 days rest...Celts could be out until for over a week...
2) Having the old guys on Celts sit too long...could be bad...
3) Both Teams sit and Finals looks like construction site with lots of bricks being laid.
4) Both teams Defenses shut down opposing team and the Finals are a bore...
Got any other ideas?

Rondo is playing with Magic...Amazing
Celts are Varsity...Magic is JV...
Down 7-0 to start game wasn't the way to start...
Maybe Van Gundy should be scared....
Superman doesn't look good...Celts Kryptonite is working...
Magic lost the touch....they couldn't hit broad side of a barn...
Looks like Celts vs Lakers....

Lame Kitten's getting paid....
1) Win more than 1 game over .500
2) Win your division
3) Win your conference
4) Play in the real post season(NFL playoffs or a BCS game)
5) Put a football program in discussion with the best in the league.
But Lame has done following
1) Made Al Davis seem like he knows what he's talking about when he discussed why he let his coach go.
2) Put foot in mouth
3) Brought dad with him
4) Put foot in mouth
Good luck SC....Not

Coaching Carousel Begins
Who's next?
Cavs coach....if they want to keep Lebron.
Nets coach...Why not?

Did the Cavs surprise us?.....No
Why not?
1. Lebron is king...what else is going on in Ohio? The Indians and Browns are far from good.
2. Lebron can get paid in Cleveland...that's probably all they got going.
3. Cleveland is built for future...NOT...Boston with the 3 old guys has a better future if they don't retire.
4. Coaching....Now Mike Brown looked like same guy at that interview...he still doesn't know what happened. The Cavs are only team left in playoffs without a 'Real' coach...Think Mike's day are done....I do
5. Supporting cast...it doesn't seem to working...is that the players or coaching...see #4.
Lebron in NY would be no different. If that's the choice...take the $....
The Heat would be good...Lebron...Wade...and Riley(he might even coach).

The King & Superman vs Kobe?
Most signs look to Superman making a repeat trip, hopefully with better results.
Why?
Orlando has a better coach, better supporting cast and at least won
one game in the Finals when they got there.
1) Coach Van Gundy matches up better than Mike Brown.
I'm still waiting for Mike to be let go and Cavs bring in a real coach.
I still don't think they can win with him at coach. (Same as Opie for
the NJ Nets...It took going winless to start season before they let
him go...).
2) Besides Shaq, Cavs can't compete with the Magic. If Shaq was in his
20s, I would give them a chance. Magic got Carter, Lewis, Nelson and
Pietrus.
If needed Magic could go 10 deep, Cavs are lucky to get 6 players out
there with the chance of winning...
3) Magic did win 1 game in the finals...Cavs didn't win any.
Then again, maybe Kobe doesn't make it and the Spurs surprise and
upset (advertisers) again.
(Kobe with more rings than Shaq discusses me so I hope someone else shows up...)

Path to NFL Goes Through Gainesville
The enclosed link to a article proves this...
To all you 5 and 4 star players, check out the number in the articles...
Path to NFL Goes Through Gainesville: "Sometimes numbers don't lie. In this case, they are pretty amazing. The University of Florida football program is doing something right and the proof is certainly in the numbers. The bottom line is, if you are a high profile five-star or four-star prospect and want to win championships and get drafted, Florida has become the place to look for that to happen."

LAL vs OKC
Once again Kobe doesn't try to take over... I don't get that.
Is Durant actually that good?
Boy is Portland kicking themselves...NOT, but what if they got Durant.....
As I watch Kobe sits to start the 4th quarter...will he play any more tonight...
Did Phil's talk of Durant's number of foul shoots back fire...Difference is 20+ in favor of The Thunder...
Bill Walton's son just did a 2 1/2 somersault...too bad this is Basketball...foul on him...
I like's me some Lakers getting spanked...Hah

After the first week on NBA Playoffs...
Boston knocks Miami out in 3...Cavs and Lakers couldn't do the same.
Where will Wade play next year?
Orlando and Atlanta are the only ones left to go for sweep...
Will Dallas Collapse after looking good in game one? I can't wait to see another Mark Cuban blow up...
Utah vs Denver...who cares?
