The old guys vs Kobe...3 vs 1 usually wins...
Rondo vs Fisher...new vs old...hmmm
Besides Kobe...Celts look good in other match up...
Bench?...Celts have more rebs and points on bench...
Kobe with more rings for me...
Can we have a 4-0 series and Celts win another ring...maybe Jackson leaves...takes Lebron with him and starts string of championships with him...hmmm

Down In the NBA Headquarters did the following just occur...

Stern to NBA staff: Team...What's happening? The Celtics and Lakers are on the verge of sweeping into The Finals...I don't like it...

Staff Member: Excuse me sir but don't you want LA vs Boston?

Stern: Hell yea...but what I don't want is people thinking only the stacked teams or most popular storylines are what we want....

Staff: So what now?

Stern: Commence "Operation No-$weep"

Staff: What?

Stern: Contact LA and Boston on red phones..I want to give Suns and Magic hope...then squash it..

Staff: (silence)

Stern: What? Do you think this is the MLB Or NHL where teams from Philadelphia have a chance? Not on my watch anymore...Spurs in finals has killed me over the last years...

With Brown gone...is Van Gundy gone too?

If the Cavs part with Brown...then Van Gundy is probably gone too...why not?...After going to Finals, it looks like the Magic will get toasted in 4 straight games...

Rondo's play probably sealed the coach's fate..

And A former Florida Gator helped...Jason Williams probably lost any chance of getting another job after that...

NBA might get what it wants...maybe...

If Celts beat Magic out of their misery and finish them off..they might get extra rest before Finals...

NBA might be happy with that unless...
1) LA struggles and plays another extra game against Suns...then only get 4 days rest...Celts could be out until for over a week...
2) Having the old guys on Celts sit too long...could be bad...
3) Both Teams sit and Finals looks like construction site with lots of bricks being laid.
4) Both teams Defenses shut down opposing team and the Finals are a bore...

Got any other ideas?

Lame Kitten's getting paid....

It got to be nice...when you get paid for something you haven't done...
1) Win more than 1 game over .500
2) Win your division
3) Win your conference
4) Play in the real post season(NFL playoffs or a BCS game)
5) Put a football program in discussion with the best in the league.

But Lame has done following
1) Made Al Davis seem like he knows what he's talking about when he discussed why he let his coach go.

Hawks coach is gone...I guess 3 years of improvements is not enough...especially when you last 4 games are disgusting....

Did the Cavs surprise us?.....No

Cavs are down 3-2 and now people are wondering if the hometown boy will skip out next year...

Why not?

1. Lebron is king...what else is going on in Ohio? The Indians and Browns are far from good.
2. Lebron can get paid in Cleveland...that's probably all they got going.
3. Cleveland is built for future...NOT...Boston with the 3 old guys has a better future if they don't retire.
4. Coaching....Now Mike Brown looked like same guy at that interview...he still doesn't know what happened. The Cavs are only team left in playoffs without a 'Real' coach...Think Mike's day are done....I do
5. Supporting cast...it doesn't seem to working...is that the players or coaching...see #4.

Lebron in NY would be no different. If that's the choice...take the $....
The Heat would be good...Lebron...Wade...and Riley(he might even coach).

The King & Superman vs Kobe?

So who will be it be 'The King' or 'Superman' to meet Kobe in the NBA Finals?
Most signs look to Superman making a repeat trip, hopefully with better results.

Why?
Orlando has a better coach, better supporting cast and at least won
one game in the Finals when they got there.
1) Coach Van Gundy matches up better than Mike Brown.
I'm still waiting for Mike to be let go and Cavs bring in a real coach.
I still don't think they can win with him at coach. (Same as Opie for
the NJ Nets...It took going winless to start season before they let
him go...).
2) Besides Shaq, Cavs can't compete with the Magic. If Shaq was in his
20s, I would give them a chance. Magic got Carter, Lewis, Nelson and
Pietrus.
If needed Magic could go 10 deep, Cavs are lucky to get 6 players out
there with the chance of winning...

3) Magic did win 1 game in the finals...Cavs didn't win any.

Then again, maybe Kobe doesn't make it and the Spurs surprise and
upset (advertisers) again.
(Kobe with more rings than Shaq discusses me so I hope someone else shows up...)
